Space simulators are great (and you can find a list of them here http://spacesimcentral.com/ssc/topic/152-cellphone-and-mobile-device-space-sims-list/ ), but what about strategy fans who couldn't fly a ship straight if their life depended on it? (aka me). Fear not, here's a list of such games for mobile devices. Please help populate it, and discuss your favorite games on the list.
4x strategy
Eclipse: New Dawn For The Galaxy (iOS) http://www.bigdaddyscreations.com/products/eclipse/ - Great strategy game based on the board game
Starbase: Orion (iOS) http://www.chimerasw.com/starbaseorion/ - A decent 4x game, inspired by Master of Orion 2
Persistent/MMO strategy games
Galaxy On Fire: Alliances (iOS, Android) http://gofalliances.com/ - From the makers of the Galaxy on Fire sims. I think this is the best persistent space strategy in a sea of clones.
OGame (iOS) http://us.ogame.gameforge.com/ - The web game also has an iOS client
Galaxy Empire (iOS, Android) - Base building game. Haven't played too much into it, but there seem to be at least 5-10 very similar games to this in the app store, and I've no idea who copied who.
