Has some interesting planned features like an emulated 16 bit computer in the game. Leads to some cool possibilities.

It was mentioned that it will have both single and multiplayer elements unless they are pulling a Blizzard and making everyone have to have a valid internet connection to play either style.

Love this bit where he says you can mess up the landing.
Great to see that you will start as a person not a ship, I think this is the key to bringing this type of game back to the mainstream game players.

Would be nice to see an updated screenshot and not one of those 6mo plus old ones. But I will believe this game is in production when I see more.

The fan project won’t use any of Notch’s code. Unless he decides to give it to them to surprise them, I guess. They don’t even plan to use the same story. But they appear organised, with team leaders for each aspect of the game, and a desire to see whatever they imagined Notch’s game was going to be come to life.
