Recently downloaded the game, and tried to finish the Wiccan Ware Race.
Strangely, when i launch from Old Curie, and try to open the Galaxy Map, my ship immediately explodes.
I tried Anisotropic mode and HellMod, but this problem is in every version.
Can i do something with it?

I thought this bug had been squashed in v1.11 but, according to AndyJ, it can be fixed by setting preoptimizedDistantDivides=0 in your ffed3daj.cfg file. This may reduce frame rates around planets though.

        Thanks!
I guess it is because i can’t find the latest version.

v1.11 is in the downloads section on this website.

v1.13 is in beta and should be released soon™ 🙂

      Hi VictorMcCoy

Sorry for the delay replying & thanks for reporting the issue, it’s one that got introduced into v1.11 via the experimental setting that Steve has mentioned. I’ve just had a quick look into the cause and think I’ve got a fix for it.

Here’s a new build of the v1.13 beta that you can extract over the top of your v1.11 installation:
      FFED3DAJ_v1.13 beta2.zip

There’s quite a few changes/fixes, notably reworked joystick/gamepad mapping and to fullscreen/borderless modes, so please take a quick look at the readme file if it starts up differently. Also there are two new settings to load the replacement (.x) model textures into video memory if your PC/Laptop has enough system/video memory.

      Cheers, AndyJ
