    This is the official bug reporting thread for Darkdawn: Encounters. If you run into any issues while playing the game, please let us know here or message me privately on these boards. 

    IMPORTANT: While reporting a bug, please give as much information as you can about your device: what brand, model, carrier, OS version, etc. Then describe the problem itself; the more detail you can give, the better the odds we can track down the issue.

    Hello. I recently downloaded the game and I really enjoy the gameplay. I have found a small bug to bring to your attention. I have an LG Optimus F3 (listed as LG-LS720) with Virgin Mobile as my carrier. I have been connected via wi-fi however, if that matters. I have android 4.1.2. On the settings menu, when I switch the graphics settings, it goes to a black screen every time. The music continues to play and I can hit the back button and restart the app without issue. It`s a very minor issue for me, and I can play on high settings without issue. But I wanted to bring it to your attention. I hope things are going well and I look forward to future updates. Have a great day

    Hey Xanthius, thanks for letting me know about this. I was somewhat afraid of it; forcing Unity to change settings (especially some specific ones) while running can be iffy. I’ll take a look for the next release, but I might just have to switch to a “these changes won’t take effect until you restart the app” message and not try to do it while the program is up.

    Xanthius, just wanted to let you know that I did some checking, and this is indeed a known issue with the latest Unity (4.5) and Android. It used to work! :p 

    Anyway, the next update will bring up a notification that changing the settings will require a quit. The game actually keeps executing when that black screen comes up, as you noted, so I’m calling a quit command if the user agrees. When the user restarts the app, the new setting will have taken effect. Its ugly, but better than unexplained black screen I guess. Hopefully Unity will sort it out by next release.

    Hey Leo, I’m really enjoying this game! I just started playing the Campaign and wanted to let you know about a small typo I found. In the second assignment, “Protect a convoy of freighters as they approach port.”, the description says “… and escort them to them to their destination port …”

     

    If I notice anything else I’ll let you know. Thanks for making this game.
