I am happy when anyone shows an interest in Pioneer and I love all the different flavors in comes in. Also I updated the ModDB page once again with the “March Build” and again on the Frontier Forum. That thread is getting old but I’d rather keep it as its a record of sorts of Pioneer itself. And Gernot? I also gave a mention to Phoenix too in the thread. 🙂
Thank you so much for the advice. I tried reinstalling both the x86 and x64 versions of VC2008 and also copied versions 1 and 2 (and also trying the x86 and x64 versions of each) of SDL to the Genesia folder. Version 1 just crashes and version 2 wont run at all reporting a “repeat key” instruction is missing. It was worth a try though. Thanks anyways Gernot. 🙂
Gernot, would the Genesia ships work in Phoenix? It’s just that I recently fired up Vuzz’s Genesia and it wont load up anymore, likely to do with drivers updates, but Phoenix looks very close to it as I think both are based on Alpha 31? Worth a try do you think?
WOW Gernot! You really out did yourself here! If you don’t mind, and the mods reopen it, I wouldn’t mind putting this in the old Pioneer thread over on the Frontier Forums. I’ve not updated it in over a year so it’s gone dormant but this is a great excuse to dust it off again. Some great posts from years back in this by yourself too I might add. 😉
Star Wraith has had a small but very dedicated community, so yes, I can see this game being played for a good long while yet. Also with regards to mods, to get you started, here is a link to Evo Tweaker. 😉
Just noticed this post of yours D1. I am sad at this as Vice has done great work with his Star Wraith series. A very underrated space sim that many others should look at. I’ve collected all his games over the years I am glad to say, going back to the very first one. If this is his last in the series its a great way to go out as Evochron Legacy is a damn fine game.
