Niigata station - dead end system. No ships are docked but one is rotating around the shields outside the station and can't dock as it says station is full but there's no ships present in the docking claw of the station. Restarted the game, reloaded the game etc and still won't let me dock. Left the system and returned to get the same error.

Also the one time I did manage to dock at the station upon leaving the ship just rotated around the docking claw and wouldn't leave the station shields so had to quit and reload the game again.

Cloaking + Cloaking error message v1.004

My ship is an Eclipse (Destroyer).
I have a "Cloaking Device II" installed, which, according to it's description, is capable of cloaking a destroyer.
I have the skill "Cloaking 2".
My ship has plenty of excess energy.

When I activate the Cloak skill on the ship's HUD, I get the message:

"Unable to cloak. Cloaking device not installed."

This is false. I have one installed and it is the right type.

Further, this bugged activation of the skill leaves the skill in an activated state with the ship looking decidedly uncloaked.

If I activate the Cloak skill while undocking, the same happens except that there isn't even an error message.
I haven't lost touch with reality. Reality has lost touch with me.

not sure if this has been posted but each time i start a new game (free play) my new character has my old characters perk all of it, havent tested it in a campaign yet though

I get a crash to the desktop immediately after the LGM logo movie runs. There's a game cursor and the start of music by the time I see the logo, then an immediate crash after it finishes playing.

keyboard bindings for ship's special, cargo and tractor beam do not work

after attacking the ship that is mining an asteroid the ship moves away for attack or defense but the mining beam
remains

scanner and transporter can be used from any distance regardless of what their description says

on battleships and dreadnoughts scanner gets very slow, mining beam or transporter does not work,
when checking cargo capacity in space it shows much less, like 66 instead of 325 or 144 instead of 400

when docked and trying to go to main menu it does not but UI is no longer there, the only thing left is to quit

where do i find the save game stored?

Saves are stored in GameRoot\Saves directory. Two fiels are associated, a ges and a dds file. Please upload both, so we can have a look. Thanks!


nar, wasnt there - had to search the entire drive - win put it into:
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Starpoint Gemini\Saves

will try to apply the 1.004 patch again

*Update: my new character fucked up the savegame - will create a new one and try to reach chapter 4 again :-/


Update 2: so here we are - played the game trough the part b4 crash again.
uploaded the new savegame now. go through the gate and try to seize those directory ships. just before morse finishes his task the game crashes.

Hi

I created my own profile and after the very very start of the first mission the mouse pointer disappears. Basically the opening dialogue finishes, 3 rogue ships appear and I can't see the mouse pointer.

Using v1.04

This may be because I created a new character i.e. ME

Going back to test again using default profile.

HI it happened to me but I alt tab and it worked alsow try saving and restarting the game.

Hi ther my ship is a Poseidon class and the Probem is the folowing :When I am Docked my cargo hull shows 360 ,and when I am out in the open it is 104 ... even thow it s empty.

Anyone else take a T-gate and find nothing at all on the other side? Not even the gate back? :O


I had this once too, I just flew west for a while and came back to where the astroids etc are. The t-gate just jumps you to a wrong spot.

But now I am level 18 and i need to be level 17 to continue in the story line. My last quest in the story line is science rules! pt7, it doesn't continue anymore. I already was level 17 at the time I saw i needed to be level 17.

I have this problem with the second quest of chapter 2. You need to get to level 15, but I was level 15 when I picked it up.
Looks like they haven't accounted for what happens if your level is greater than the required level for the quest.

trying to capture a ship, transported my team, destroyed the ship, targeted a rogue container - capture still going on, destroyed container and target resulting container - capture still going on, transport contents, target next container and so on ...

target something, start scan, target something else - scan continues on newly targeted object

installed tdrive, used it for a while, uninstalled it, played some more, installed it again - could not use it - says tdrive not installed, after reload tdrive was recognized again. you should make tdrive part of every ship instead of taking up a slot.

My graphics in the game is warbled, the space background and ships are all wonky, the only things that looks allright is the menu and character creation.
This has been the same with and without all the patches installed.
Please see the attached screenshot.
All my drivers are up to date, no virusses, etc.
I seem to be the only one with this particular problem!

Please set ActivityDebugger to 1 (in the GameConfiguration.cfg) then start the game until you first see the warbled and wonky things. Then send over the ActivityRecord.txt over either by uploading it here, or by sending it directly to me on dorijan@starpointgemini.com . Seems to me it might be connected to shader model, but I'll leave it to the techies. Thanks!

Do you need a save of an example of the cargo bug or you got that covered ?

This is the save with one of the bug~ i listed in the topic i made, its prolly just an error that occured while saving ... Anyways. In resume, i died whiled being docked, loaded an not old at all saved game, then one of the ship is literally "off chart" ^_^.

That's it. Unfortunately, SPG requires Shader 3.0 to work, but we'll be changing that in one of the following patches.

Another update:
got now the activity.txt written. had to run the game as administrator and copy the profiles and savesgames to the data dir. updated aswell to 1.005 and newest drivers of graphics card.
