To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Does this mean it will be affordable during a Steam Sale?
Yes. Initial pricing will be 60$ on steam, but i am quite sure it will be in some holiday sales 😉

I've been tempted for this 4x game many times, but the ridiculous price (for a niche game from a small studio) has always put me off. Is it really worth it? Considering it's more than 10 times (!) more expensive than (say) Space Empires IV on Steam.

Yes it's worth it. But, only if you can afford it.
Imo its the best 4X game released in recent times, closely followed by sots2 (after the many patches). Any of the other games (like endless space) fade into obscurity compared to those 2.
There are some other good titles on the horizon btw. Predestination, M.O.R.E., amongst a bunch of others.
