To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Found this while browsing around on the net. I bought 2 & 3 from GOG in a recent sale, but always wanted to see where the story started off in the first game, anyways a dev called Andrew Curry (along with others) are working away on a new HD fan re-make of the original game, have a look here at his blog, looks promising.
There is some really nice art in those screenshots so far. Will have to keep watch on this one.
Could be great if they use Pegasus Prime as their starting base as this was the second remake of the first game, "Turbo" being the first remake. Pegasus Prime however only came out on the MAC (and possibly the Playstation 1, although I cant confirm this)
Heard about these games but never played them.
The first game (The Journeyman Project) was brilliant and way ahead of its time. Back then everyone talked about "Myst" re-inventing adventure games but to me, Journeyman had way more atmosphere to it, and the story was much better as well. I'd highly recommend it. The sequence when you're running through the Mars maze, listening to the music slowing down as you run out of oxygen and your breathing gets heavier, is never-to-be-forgotten <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
Also, I have always loved the little motif/theme tune associated with the game. If you've played, you'll know the one I mean. I had it as the message tone on my cellphone, at one point <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
