From Jagex the makers of RuneScape the game a free browser MMORPG and will be out in about a year,not sure if theres any ships in game as facts are little hard to find on the site.
Theres also an interview with Mark Gerhard,does not give much away about the game.
I noticed this game a couple of days ago (don't remember how I got there) but I didn't post it here because, as you pointed out, they really don't give any information about the game besides it being a "mature space based game". This could mean anything from ferrying space hookers to yet another space-based-build-yer-colony-with-a-text-interface-type-of-game.
Only other thing they say about the game is that it won't be Runescape in space.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see if this turns out to be interesting.
There seems to a few hint as to what might be in it,but as you say just have to wait and see.
Good looking website, would be nice if they had more info in the FAQ if they didn't have pics/vids yet.
There's a new video on their website, just a teaser which actually shows nothing but at least it's progress...
I know release isn't until 2011 but they could at least drop 2-3 screenshots to give us an idea on gameplay 🙂 It's not like its a secret or something... we all generally know what to expect from a web based game.
Long time no hear anything about this, now it looks like Stellar dawn has been dropped or paused as they like to call it.

This very difficult decision was driven by the massive year we have ahead of us. We feel we need to focus our resources to ensure we stay true to our values of delivering only the highest quality game experiences.
I know this news will come as a disappointment to many but I want to stress that this is not a decision we have taken lightly. The Stellar Dawn team has achieved a great deal developing the game over recent years and should rightly be proud of their achievements; however, we believe that this temporary move is in the best interest of the studio as a whole.
I know that many of you have been following the games development loyally over recent years and, on behalf of the development team and Jagex Game Studios, I wish to thank each one of you for the support you have shown.
Rest assured that we will review the status of the Stellar Dawn project in the future so long as an appetite for the game remains. I hope Jagex can rely on your ongoing support.
Read about this last night and was going to post something on this. I played Stellar Dawn in the beta and I liked the game I just wanted a single player mode, which it didn't have at the time and still think it doesn't. I think this would have done a lot better if it was a SP/MP game and of course ported to the mobile tablets.
