To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Active space game guilds?

Are any of you in any active social guilds that arrange gaming times together for Space Engineers, Elite: Dangerous, Star Citizen?

I've been browsing a lot of forums for Kerbal Space Program, Planetary Annihilation, Space Engineers, and Elite and many others, and it's very hard to find a group that is active, social, snarky, and laid back.  I was wondering if any of you have found any successful and active space guilds out there?  I keep running into mil-sim guilds that are huge, active, and very fun.  Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place?

No I haven't and I have to admit I have been to lazy to start one up because of my available time to dedicate to a guild/clan for gaming in these games. I would be open to helping some folks out if they need a home for their site/forums if I was approached with it.

Well to start, most of the people here have very specific requirements for a space game. For instance, the user Cody has no problems with exploration in Elite Dangerous, whereas I would be bored to freaking tears. Also very few of us seem to like the same collective titles. We don't have any current EVE players that I'm aware of. Our Elite Dangerous userbase consists of a whole 3 people (maybe more.) Most of us are too mature for the sillyness that is Star Citizen Beta.

Also. Who is going to lead and organize everything? Most of use have pretty busy schedules, and we have different time zones. Geraldine's morning is my evening. (if she lives in the UK timezone. I honestly cannot remember.) Space Sim Central is great, but for me its more about finding games then any sort of multiplayer community.
