Some scholars think it will be a time of enlightenment and others think something bad will befall mankind? What do you think will happen and are you already building the bunker and storing the food... and of course you generator to power the PC to play Space Sims of course. C'mon you do have to have priorities.
Personally don't know what to think.. I would like to hope that maybe it is a spiritual day and something great happens. Or maybe that is when a huge asteriod pummels the earth....

I just saw something on TV about this new movie called 2012. Not sure if it is going to suck or not but I wonder accurate they stay to the myth?
If the mayans had any reason at all to make calendars spanning several millenia, they would do it. They did not. Thus, they only made calendars till the year (sun cycle) which corresponds to christian year 2012. Maybe if the mayans had not disappeared they would update their calendars with another cycle.
Could it be that simple the person in charge of the calendar writing said screw it we aren't going to live that long as a race 🙂
I have always wanted to visit these areas personally and see what happens during that galactic alignment that will happen. Do I think the word is going to end? No. But it would very interesting to see if this day has any merit at all or if it is just some date hyped to make money off of it.
And I agree with Pinback if they release Elite 4 on that date and something does happen I will be pissed.
