To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Playing Deus Ex: HR (finally)
Still pretty early in the game but seems like a very very very good game (ok, I always loved Deus Ex, specially the first one :king:
Star Trek Elite forces on the PS2, played the second one on the PC many years ago but never played the first one.

Sam & Max season 1 on the Wii
Bought a real Wii as Cash Generators are selling them off for £30 also picked up Lego Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones games for it.
Plane scape Torment for £1.99 white label re-release, an RPG I have always wanted to play missed out on getting a copy of it a few years back. Not only that but I got two Amiga game from cash generators 99p each, Skidmarks and Corporation, will have to get the Amiga's out and see if they work.
Never played Corporation but Skidmarks was great fun. A really good party game. As for me, got XCom finally and working my way through it. Not bad with some great moments so far, but I just have a sense it has an "unfinished" feel to it.
That XCom game a sore point with me as I still can't get it to work.
I raided a bargain bin, and found Age of Empires I & II Complete Editions, GTA Vice City, MS Flight Simulator 2004, Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time, and Clive Barker's Undying.
Payback for the Amiga brand new, "Amiga kit" have some in.
Remember playing the demo of it but never bought the game for some reason.

Bought these 🙂
I am currently driving about with Take On Mars. :girlcrazy: It's still in Beta and not finished, but damn tricky in places if you want to play it hardcore and only use your vehicle's cameras to see where your going instead of the 3rd person view.
Ahem,
Steam Summer Sale caught up with me and I ended up with a bunch of new games. As usual :girlwah: (I'm a sucker). Started playing Borderlands 2 - outstanding dialogues but interrupted it to play (shame on) Football Manager 2013 😛 (it is amazing the game time I accrue in each FM... although it is one of the games that I can play while doing other stuff).
Been deeply buried in Starmade recently. That could really be a great game. I'd like to see it scaled up somehow, planets are very small and distances are tiny for a space game.
Also got Surgeon Simulator, The Swapper, Arma 3 beta and Betrayer.
GTA 5 and Assassins creed 2 on 360.
Ah, you succumbed to the GTA hype I see Pinback. I very nearly did the same myself, but going to hold off for now and see more reports about it before diving in. Does look great though. AC2 is good! :girlcrazy:
It's not hype it is the best the they have done, I have been playing for a week now and there is still loads to do and see. I am off to take the mini sub out and see if I can find the crashed ufo on the seabed.
Well that is different from running down junkies :girlcrazy:
You can still run down the junkies but you can also run down deer cows dogs as well now :gamer: you can also scuba dive but you have to watch out for the sharks
Last gta I played was San Andreas and although 5 is not as big as Andreas they have packed so much more into it, it really is more of living city than any of the previous games.
Star Trek Elite forces on the PS2, played the second one on the PC many years ago but never played the first on
Is it interesting? I want to buy it,but I doubt

If you can pick it up cheap which it should be for a Play station 2 game.not played a lot of it but I did find the controls a bit difficult with the joypad and not as good as some other FPS console games.
Got the new Star Trek on the 360 not played much of it as I am still lost in GTA5.
