Hi SSC!
I'm a space game fan, so it's nice to see a forum for other people with such an interest. Particularly, I like being able to learn about niche games and fan projects that came in below my scanner.
One such game I learned about from browsing through this forum was The Precursors, which I subsequently bought. Now, I've signed up to SSC so I can post about trying to get it to work!

Welcome to SSC. There is a few nice projects being discussed here and there is a bunch of indie projects that have been found as well. A game that is along the lines of Percursors is Salvation Prophecy. And another that has been out is Parkan II.
On Precursors, I haven't bought the game yet but there is a few people in that area that can help ya out and there is custom patches being worked on as well.
