To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Will be interesting to see what they find, when they start looking for planets.

Runs for the hills. 🤣

Seems to remember reading that their was a project to map a 50 or 100 light year bubble around earth, to see if their were any habitable planets.

Saw this image the other day, one thing I didn't was that its close to 1mil miles away from earth, unlike the Hubble which is in orbit basically. Well if this telescope can produce we should start seeing some great images soon. Hard to believe the Hubble still up there taking pics and they say it could last another 8-15yrs up there..... we need to build equipment made to last again 😉 that James Webb telescope cost like 10bil dollars so here is hoping it lasts as long as Hubble.

Hehehe @Captainkal, if they did see that I doubt they would tell us 😉
