I'm now morbidly curious regarding the original contents of your post.

Well, in Frontier: Elite II, usually when you press Enter/Shift the speed would begin slowing down.

However, in Pioneer it seems you have to tap Enter/Shift and wait for it to respond.

Is this how it works or am I missing something?

Was all it was, I guess he figured it out 🙂

Yea, bit of an idiot, figured that one out. Now I have another problem, I don't seem to get the planet textures I see in the video?

Hi Cookie. Don't worry, everyone starts out as a newbie. Have you clicked on the Options button at the start screen? You can crank up the details as much as your machine can handle in there. You can also get to Options when the game is running by pressing the Escape key.

Yes, I have don that. I put everything on Very High, but I don't see a difference.

How fast is your PC? Try going to a lower detail setting and check that the planet textures are set.
