To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Oh ok. I have no visibility on that. Anything outside the core distribution is up to others to maintain. But sounds like you've got it under control!

Well, yes. My mods are under my control. At least until the release. Could it be otherwise?

Both the lighting glitches and the atmosphere pressure bug have been fixed in the latest development build. The missing atmospheres on gas giants has been known for a few weeks and is tracked in issue #1395.

Oh, and I just noticed that "asteroid hedgehog" bug is regressed on alpha25.

By "asteroid" I mean something like this:

{

CustomSystemBody :new('Timor', 'PLANET_ASTEROID')

:seed(191082)

:radius(f(1,4))

:mass(f(1,4))

:rotation_period(f(1,100))

:temp(160)

:semi_major_axis(f(1,1000))

},

It seems to be fine piece of rock on Alpha24 but when loaded on Alpha25 it is an "hedgehog" <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I'm currently using pioneer-9cbb44b-win32, as I flew to Saturn I noticed the rings looking very glitchy and flashing with no noticible rings, as in the screenshots below. Anyone else see Saturn like this?

WOW psychedelic rings! <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//cool.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cool:' /> Perhaps this "glitch" could be used for other effects in the game?

It looks like a revenge of Mr. Bumgardner <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//crazy.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':crazy:' />
