s#$t! I also meant  to say how lovely the images are - there's some great shots with the right music will give a sense of scale and awe that currently only really exists in this game. Well done Tichy

Thanks

Unfortunately, there aren't combats in my videos... Maybe Biomechanoid could record some fighting in hi-res?

However, now I'm at Epsilon Cygni, a system with a giant star and two sub-star entities. I think that I could record some nice multiple sunrise/dawn sequences. One of the next days. I just need the time to explore and find some nice place. 🙂

OK! I recorded some very very nice sequences in Epsilon Cygni. Some of my best, I think. Give me the time to encode and upload. 🙂

You'll find triple sunrises and dawns, nice orbit views and manual Hohmann Transfers (easier than I thought).

If I don't fall asleep, I'll upload soon. Otherwise, tomorrow. 😉

Next, I'll try to improvise some combat, just to cover also this aspect of the game. But i warn that I'm not good at that.

EDIT: I finished to encode and check the video. It's a single cut. 36 minutes long. This time is full of nice views. It's too late to upload. I'll do it tomorrow. 🙂

... and here are the combat scenes 🙂

This is from internal view with hud (I even managed to kill the enemy ship! ...yes: I had a slightly superior firepower  )

And this is another combat in external view. (Better calling it: beams at random)

I think these are my last videos, unless you need something else. In that case, just tell me what you need.

Hi,

What's the status of the Promo video? Is it ready?

If not - I probably could help as well.

I'm using After Effects for my audio-visual works.

The last comment from trupet is of some time ago and I don't know what he did or if he's still interested.

Anyway, my stock videos are there for anyone who's interested. (I still have the raw uncoded videos, but they are ~192GB)

I think that they could be integrated with some new material showing the new ships, but at the moment I can't run pioneer because of problems with my video drivers (long story... pioneer works only with closed source Ati drivers, while flight gear works with open source drivers. I like both games, but I don't like to switch drivers every day...).

Thank you, I'll go through the videos and see what I could use.

some questions:

- What is the resolution, needed for promo?

- Do you guys already decided about text part?

- What length would be good? (usually it's good for promo be short, but dynamic)

- What is deadline for this?

PS: you did a big work, collecting these videos 🙂

Downloading videos right now...

The resolution (1280x800) looks a little bit small - are  originals have the same resolution?

There are some good scenes and some good scenery here. Can you re-film some footages if necessary?

I've been trying to find some time to sit down with my brother to try and edit some of Tichy's videos into a short promo (he has all the gear and knows how to use it). But anyone that wants to should, don't wait for me 🙂

Sorry, I recorded them in 1280x800. I can go up to 1920x1200 but I can't guarantee a constant framerate (surely not near the cities).

I deleted my save files, but I think that I can record again some scene, if necessary. I just have to go to the same places and try to do the same things 🙂

OK 🙂

Just downloaded all the videos which is bigger than 10 mb. Will watch for interesting parts and probably make some draft.

It would be good if originals have bigger resolution.

BTW, first link in your sig leads to 404 😉

No problem, we could use 1280x800 for the crowd scenes and 1920x1200 (maybe 1920x1080 will be even better) for open spaces.

Some scenes, especially open spaces looks great, but 'camera' moves a little bit quick ...

Anyway I'll watch all the videos today and see what parts can be used for a promo.

All videos in one day??? :O

There are some short clips with multiple views and other long uncut sequenced from which you can extract some clip.

I tried to include everything (except some goofs :D), to le the editor choose which part to use.

If you want, you may use my music as a background (probably my Arp series would fit Pioneer's atmosphere) - just remember to credit me for my work (link to my youtube channel for example 🙂 )

Yes, it's 1.4 Gb so far 🙂

OK, I'll look on short clips too. There might be sime interesting scenes inside.

I've searched for a logo as well and found it on this forum - SVG version - just converted it to Illustrator format to be compatible with After Effects. Was looking for some screenshots as well, but eventually link to screenshots gallery gives me '500 Internal Server Error' ( http://pioneerspacesim.net/image/tid/1 ).

Tichy, there are some good material in your videos, I'm extracting some footages now where camera is not jumping or moves / changes view too fast. I'll let you know what I've choose and maybe you will be willing to re-film these parts (possibly with a bigger resolution (1920x1080 would be great, but anyway 1280x800 (I'll use 1280x720) is very good as well).

you may use my music as a background

Thanks Pizemyslav, but I'm going to make my own music/sound for this video 🙂

I am definitely interested I've just been slammed with too much work. I also ran out of space on my laptop converting everything to ProRes - it ran out of space on only the 2nd movie!!! I'm redownloading to my main edit suite this time. Sorry for the lengthy delays everyone

Well, as you're going to continue your work - I'll probably stop. It was just looking as the project is abandoned.

Good luck with it.

BTW, what you mean by "converting everything to ProRes" ? Converting 1280x720 to higher resolution?

Just curious 🙂

Do not stop. We would all like to see your work. As we'd also like to see the work of Trumpet if it ever ends. Nothing prevents us to have many promotional videos. 🙂

To have more than one promo video? Sounds reasonable.

I'll continue 🙂

Animated Pioneer logo for the final part of the video.

The length is 15 sec. but I'll probably reduce it to 10 sec - depending on whole video length, which I would like to keep just a 60 sec.

Nice start!

The badge looks washed out, and the font is wrong. Did you just pull it from the game? Here's a crazy hi-res one, if you need it: . I also have a SVG version, let me know if that's useful to you and I'll put it up somewhere.

The font is is the Titillium family. Titillium Web is near enough for general use. Orbitron is our heading font. I think for consistency I'd like to see them used throughout.

I'm not a fan of the white burst background, but my personal style is fairly minimalist, so that might just be me. I'm just throwing it out there; you do as you like, of course 🙂

I'm looking forward to see the rest!

I found SVG file (probably old one) here on the forum - yes, colors saturation and font is different and I like this one better. Will change it.

<I'm not a fan of the white burst background>

These fragments are just overlays. For example, the final scene (with logo) will have it's own background (open Space scene from Pioneer) so burst will not be so strong. Anyway, when the whole video will be assembles some things will be corrected 🙂
