To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Yes, they would be. VegaStrike's artwork is released under the GPL, as well as a Creative Commons license. As a GPL project, Pioneer is entitled to use it.
just to share some 😉
unfortunately i can't have sound in pioneer, but it wouldn't sound good on the macbook anyway.

that's usually an organ tune, but sounds good

Samplings of the DNA genome sequence of a human body, converted and scored for the carport orchestra.
that's of special interest,

many tracks may sound uninspired, but i guess something is needed to feed such a program.
I have an old LP of the passacaglia and fugue played on the pedal harpsichord. It was one of my favorite albums. I haven't played it in decades. The Body Song could have continued on for quite a bit longer, I think. That wasn't enough to code a bacterium. 😉 Thanks!
that's why i linked the whole selection of the "carport orchestra" to, there are longer compositions made from this sequence or things like "the inevitably ambiguous waltz of the salmonella", besides of some classical pieces and ambient/space tracks.

i know, now should follow something like "carl perkins - dixie fried"
s2odan, well it's not easy to differ between copy and rip, i mean you can do that for good and of course all composers of all times peeped from behind over the shoulders of their competitors. i guess i's one thing to adapt something because of respect and a complete different to simply make a plagiate, if you get rich by occasion with the first, well alright.
i guess if you would ask the countless jazz musicians that have been "cheated", they would say that this is "mad crap", to adapt from other musicians is natural, to mark copyrights is only needed if you can't play.
some more experimental electronic music

it seems many compositions under this label are GPL or CC licensed, sometimes no license is shown, but that didn't mean that it's always GPL.
even when i know archive.org is very precautious with that and will usually label a CC licence if the case is not to clear.
one that has pleased me from this label is,

you know that i'm a "rocker", but for gaming i really prefere some noisy electronical stuff.
😕 I dont know how useful this might be to someone creating music or adding sound effects, but there is a portal on Wiki that has tons of musical pieces and sound effects, here is a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Featured_sounds
