Hello folks
Just tried to register an account over on the Pioneer Dev Forum. Went through the usual process, filled everything in, got the message that an email had been sent to my address allowing me to activate the registration - but as yet no email has arrived. That was about 3 hours ago.
I thought it unlikely that I had entered my email address wrongly, but nevertheless tried to re-register and went through the process again - and was told that that email address and username was already in use. So I'm obviously in the system, but due to the lack of an activation email I can't use my account.
Any idea what the problem could be?
Thanks
Jamie
Hi!
My first guess would be to take a look in the spam folder. (I know it's very obvious, but you have to star somewhere 🙂 )
Yep, already tried that. Should've mentioned it.
Thanks though! 🙂
Anymore ideas?
was told that that email address and username was already in use
tried even to use a different username?
usually when you register with a (prob.) wrong e-mail the user name is registered nonetheless
(since it get's handled like a proper one and the user name belongs exclusively to this e-mail).
what would mean you have to register with the proper e-mail and a new user name.
the error report is often simply the same if either e-mail or username is already used.
made it quickly proof.
i registered in with a non existant e-mail
entered my prefered username
then i retried with the same username and had already a list of errors:
username already exists
wrong or to short e-mail
wrong password
wrong answer
the whole litany
thus i used a new username and proper e-mail
received message and logged in.
no need to be grateful
