Gomez song with reference to Son House in the lyric
Son House
Gomez did a cover of Meet Me In The City by Junior Kimbrough
Seeing as it's Earthday, I'd better play Albedo 0.39 by Vangelis...

🤣
That (Floppotron) looked impossibly complicated at first. Now that I know that it uses MIDI music files I can just about understand how it might work.
John Lee Hooker
ZZ Top song in the style of John Lee Hooker
I will never be able to listen to Final countdown again without think about the Floopotron version now.
For some strange reason, it reminded me of Popcorn, and the Swedish Chef.

Currently playing chez Cody...
A beautiful snake, is the copperhead.

She's a whole lot of woman, with a whole lot of problems - and I'm surprised she's not covered JJ's Ball and Chain.
Here's JJ with her take on Summertime...

Mott The Hoople (from their first album, before they went all pop/commercial)...
The album cover is a colourised version of Escher's Reptiles, a print of which hangs on my wall.

My brother bought an album called 'Mott' about the time it was released. I listened to it a bit during the 80's. I think this is probably the stand-out track
Just discovered that the first words of this REM song are Mott the Hoople

I only know a couple of Bad Company songs (now a third). Wikipedia tells me that Mick Ralphs is the connection between Mott the Hoople and Bad Company. There is also a connection to King Crimson who I know almost nothing about, but I like this
The neighbours were playing some Human League songs the other day (some of their later commercial hits) which reminded me that I liked this early single of theirs when it came out (about 1979)
There is also a connection to King Crimson who I know almost nothing about
In the Court of the Crimson King: An Observation by King Crimson is one of the finest albums in my collection. It is arguably the first, and probably the most influential, Prog Rock album ever recorded. Epitaph and 21st Century Schizoid Man are the most well-known songs on it, but the album as a whole is a masterpiece! The original band line-up was only together for that one debut album.
Being an old drummer, I'm especially fond of the percussion on it - a quite unique style!
I think I'll play Moonchild...

I listened to Moonchild then decided to listen to Moonchild
Neil Peart wasn't a bad drummer
