Very nice images there Stan. I would really like to use some of them for next months ModDB update if you don't mind that is.
Of course if the dev team wish to use any on Pioneer's own website update that's ok too.
No! I worked hard at rotating the view and pressing that print screen key! You shall not have them! 🙂
Joking, of course I don't mind. Glad you like 'em. I'll post more once I find something interesting.
...And here they are:

Not all suns on the horizon fit in the screenshot. Almost wish for a panoramic camera. Or maybe I'll need to come back another season?..

You may have read about my tribulations getting 20151104-linux64 to work. Thanks to everyone's help it works now.

That's great news Marcel, this place would not be the same without you, so I am glad you have a build up and running again! And Stan thanks! You will get full credit of course for any images I use as I do for everyone.
That last shot was from my first launch in the new Pioneer. I had a lucrative package delivery with plenty of time to look at the scenery. I'm about to jump into the galaxy. I was a bit trepidatious about going to another system without a gun.
This is where I landed.
[attachment=3284:Screenshot from 2015-11-06 2141.png]
Nice.
Is it possible to order a screenshot? I've never seen (in this thread) the effect of entering the atmosphere without atmo shield, at high velocity. The hull gets red hot. (#2550).
Red? It gets all the way through yellow to white! 🙂 Hard to choose a good angle for a shot though.

EDIT: Hmm, seems like this ship can manage 3km/s at 10km altitude without shielding.

Some more explorations on the way to Aldebaran:
Miand C (9, 1, 1), went to see the star itself, and its' first planet, which seemed to be a rock with an atmosphere. Visited the third rock first:
[attachment=3295:Screenshot from 2015-11-05 18-57-41.png]
...and here it is, Miand C a:
[attachment=3299:Screenshot from 2015-11-05 19-40-54.png][attachment=3300:Screenshot from 2015-11-05 20-02-44.png][attachment=3301:Screenshot from 2015-11-05 20-04-39.png]
The two bright dots in front of the Milky Way are its' neighbour, "b", and the distant gas giant, "g":
[attachment=3296:Screenshot from 2015-11-05 19-26-59.png][attachment=3302:Screenshot from 2015-11-05 20-20-42.png]
Might come back in two years, "g" promises to get close to Chia's Rock, would be interesting to look at it from that planet's sky.
Chen's Hope, Veayess (8, -2, 2). I don't know what their hope was, the place is a giant swamp with a greenish yellow sky. Has some interesting lakes though.
[attachment=3303:Screenshot from 2015-11-08 06-12-32.png][attachment=3304:Screenshot from 2015-11-08 06-13-52.png][attachment=3305:Screenshot from 2015-11-08 06-14-46.png]

Some screenshots from a system I worked on (might be a teaser for later 😉 )
That is beautiful, nozmajner! Quite a place. "Living in the grasp of a giant"? 🙂
And I've made it to Aldebaran. Went to visit its' first planet.
[attachment=3314:Screenshot from 2015-11-08 20-45-38.png][attachment=3308:Screenshot from 2015-11-08 20-13-36.png]
It's massive, with a thick atmosphere. I had no idea if I'd be able to take off again, so decided to save as much fuel as I could, in case I had to fight the sky all the way out. Deorbited at the dark side to land somewhere in the morning.
11 km/s, nearly in the atmosphere:
[attachment=3309:Screenshot from 2015-11-08 20-21-57.png]
I'm in, speed is dropping fast.
[attachment=3310:Screenshot from 2015-11-08 20-23-31.png]
How can something so inhospitable be so beautiful and so gentle? 5600 C on the surface, 83 Earth atmospheres pressure... But the planet literally just landed me on its' own. The atmosphere swallowed all my speed (more than 10 km/s!), and I slowly "submerged" to the surface. Only had to apply a little thrust at the end to kill the 300m/s descent.
[attachment=3311:Screenshot from 2015-11-08 20-35-00.png]
Noon and sunset:

Surprisingly, it let me go as gently as it received me. I'll definitely have a story to tell in the next system I visit!
Phases of Jupiter, viewed from Europa:
Kanara chasing a Xylophis (barely pictured as a three pixel dot in the center 😛 )
Great pictures everyone!
StanPancakes those are some great looking shots but why are they so small and have such awful compression artefacts?
Are you using the SpaceSimCentral (SSC) uploader? If so It might be best to host them off-site as I'm sure that we would love to feature some on the website.
Space is beautiful and makes me want to eat ice cream... 🙂
On the way to Gates Station
Space is beautiful and makes me want to eat ice cream...
You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream!
Wonderful Pictures Folks. There will be a whole load of them appearing shortly on ModDB as well as those from StanPancakes, Marcel, Tichy, Causimu & those mysterious shots from Nozmajner! Thanks again everyone. The ModDB site would not be as colourful without you.
I didn't know where else to post this. It's a bit off topic but we don't have a general discussion or astronomy thread. This is a picture of Earth taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. I've seen similar landscapes in Pioneer.
[attachment=3329:earth-moon-photo-lro.jpg]
Marcel you naughty boy! You nearly made me faint there as I thought for an all too brief second that cloud formations had finally made it into the build. Nice picture all the same though and your right, the landscape looks just like one from Pioneer. One day though I am sure the Earth in Pioneer will look just like that too.
Some planets, not too far from our beloved Earth
New Fulton looks like a swamp world with some big volcanoes.

Wonderful images Arrakkh & Cendar, they are on deck at ModDB.
Let me take this moment to thank everyone who has contributed images to this thread during the year. You all help get the good news out there to those who are without a Newtonian space sim. Thank you, thank you to each and everyone of you! Let me also wish you all a happy new year when it comes, or as we say in Scotland Gid Hogmanay ta ye all!
More explorations and a rescue mission.

Might be an idea to update some of the homepage screen shots with some of these.
