To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Should public high schools force every student and teacher to wear the exact same thing at all times?

I think they should have them just because most of the kids today are disrespectful and troublemakers. I worked in a school briefly and I couldn't believe the way the girls dressed for school. I was surprised they were not sent home. And uniforms would help the poorer kids in school because this way everyone is dressed the same and kids don't get teased just because their parents don't make enough money to by the higher end clothes for them.

A school district tried to do that once in America, it completely failed and resulted in teachers, students, parents, and tax payers protesting and mass civil disobedience, it has never been tried since. In reality they cause more problems and they don't actually change or fix anything, they're just pointless authoritarianism.
