To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Well the classic 80's arcade games are coming to earth to destroy us 🙂

Yup looks so cheesy but I will watch just because I will have a laugh at how they use this video games in the movie to destroy us. But I will wait until video.

   Brilliant like a cross between Ghostbuster and Men In Black and if it's half as good as these two it will become a classic.

Updated the main post with this video Pinback.

I hope they do a good job with Space Invaders because it would be funny to watch 🙂

I doubt this will be a block buster but the people that actually grew up with these games should like it. I don't think Sandler should have been in it personally but we'll see how it is when it comes out.

Can someone tell me what is suppose to be this:

Because it looks like like subliminal ad and I doubt they are legal anywhere.

Personally I find it poor excuse, I mean... if you call apparent crime "prank" for example does it legalize it? In any case after this I am pretty sure I will never watch this movie.

Well, I've been to see the movie, and quite enjoyed it.  Sadly though, there's far too many references to get in one sitting without getting distracted away from the film itself.

I will say this much though - with the on-screen time that Q-Bert gets in this film as well as "Wreck it Ralph", I'm almost certain he's going to get his own film before long.

I was somewhat underwhelmed by this movie, although it was amusing. So many "King of Kong" references, but not nearly as good as early happy-madison pictures. The Cobbler is the movie to watch if you are looking for a more Sandleresque movie. Grandma's Boy remains their ultimate gamer film. Also, if you haven't seen it, watch the short film Пиксели (Pixels) from 2010. Hard to find, but worth the watch.

*edit*

I give this movie 3 out of 5 "Courics" (south park's king of kong homage)
