To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I see the title been amended to "A StarWars Story" that brings back terrible.................terrible memory of those bloody Ewok films.

They can definitely make a very good story out of this plot if they do it right.... and hey we may get to see Vader 🙂

The film looks a lot darker in tone more like Empire than StarWars.

You know this looks better than the official squeal and I read somewhere that Darth Vader will be making an appearance in the film.

This looks better than EP 7 in my opinion. I want to see a Donnie Yen and Darth Vader fight that would be epic.
They do this rogue one series right it will be amazing and think how much Darth Vader back story and small plots they could do to build upon him.
This where the prequels should have went.
Think they are only doing one film but you never know.

Yes the leading lady is something special, I just hope she gets the job done.
And I agree totally with Pinback on this one, they should have definitely covered this time period for EP1-3. It would have been sooo much better than what we got..

The trailers are very amazing, it seems more dark and dramatic then the classic star wars movie and without the sames actors and characters the story could also be different and interesting.
Star wars searies really needs some spin off, there are a lot of novels and comics about the extended universe of star wars talking about other characters and stories.
Maybe this the right one!

Disney have planes for a number of one off films, next up I think is one about Han Solo.
Why Lucas didn't do this sort of stuff I will never know, if Disney should have bought the franchise a long time ago because I think they are doing it justice. So I cannot wait for Dec to check this one out.
