To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

That was a great book, I don't see how he can condense it into a film without compromising the story. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

i've read the book, it would be interesting to see how the movie deals with the time span.

Been thinking the same thing guess they might just cherry pick the bit they want and make a mess of it same as happened to Starship Trooper.

I have never read this book but it does sound great reading the blurbs from it. The difference between this possible movie and Starship Troopers will definitely be the director and a budget. Scott is a good director and if they give him the $$$ i'm sure he will do well with it. Now guess the question is how much of the movie will he cut up? Since everyone doesn't think he could fit the movie in a 2-3hr timeframe.

Scott should make a good job of it, but and I don't know if anyone has seen his Robin Hood film but WTF was that ending all about it look like the start of Saving Private Ryan or did they just run out ideas.
