To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I recently found this series by Randolph Lalonde on kindle for 2.99, The first was actually free and would have to say he got me back into the Sci Fi mode again. Its not hard sci fi but its a decent story about a group of friends and their adventures in space. For the price, for me anyways I really enjoyed them, altho he does tend to start covering alot of characters instead of moving forward.
While I can write pages about the shotcoming of this series the point is that in the end I also have read it all.
When I ask to myself why my usual answer is that I quite like the characters, some of them less two-dimensional than the usual Space Opera fare.
Final judgment: good for relax, with some original twist and turns.
P.S. yes, good price also.
