To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Colony Wars? 😛

Huhu,

just wondered if any body here ever heard of the great Colony Wars series for PlayStation One? The first game got at least 2 sequels, CW: Vengeance & CW: RedSun. The first zwo games offer A LOT of different end movies, depending on which acts you were able to solve in success and which not. After the game end you are able to switch to a played act to change the story line, which gives you much motivation to play the game again.

In Colony Wars: RedSun is a fixed story line (AFAIR), but you can do side quests at every base to which the story line drives you too, and unlike the 2 games before you are allowed to buy and change equipment (and ships?) as you want. If you have a PS 1, please try out those games, they are worth are try !

Never got to experience these games since I never owned a PS1. Will have to do some searching and see if a remake or a port was ever done.

Damn. I forgot my first console. 😀 And the CD32 version, was better than the Amiga 500/1200 version.

I have Star Raiders 1&2, for the Atari 130 XE, in catridge format. (I bought the machine just for these two games, some months back. But I still haven't played them 😀 )

Do you mean Starflight? I believe that the Amiga versions were better.

Star Control 2 on the 3DO

Well, it's more of an arcade/adventure game. But a great one too. And "Ur-Quan Masters", the unofficial/official remake is based on that version.

Yes. It was the cancelled Last star Fighter game. Good work Pinback.

And I think it was first released in the Arcades. (More of a rail shooter).

Now. Here's a new one.
