List of console game stared by myself and CaptainKal a couple of years ago in the colony wars thread, thought I would put it in its own thread and see if anyone else wants to add to it.<br>
Note its not a complete list of console or games so if you think a game or console is missing post it and I will add it to the op.<br>
Also I have tried to keep it to the more simulated type of games so no shmup.

Rogue squadron had another title come along after it for the N64. Episode 1 Battle for Naboo. It was pretty much the same thing set during the prequel trilogy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars: ... _for_Naboo
Also the original Xbox had a game called Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter. One of that lastest games where you could walk around on your ship. I can't remember if the space section was fully fleshed out however, as I only remember shooting things. 🙂
I can't comment on other systems as I really never got into them.
Interesting not seen the Battle for Naboo before, Added them both in along with Starfox for the N64.
There was a game on PS1 called Xenocracy. Memorable for having crazy-coloured ships.

Cheers Zptr just noticed you post, been thinking about getting a copy of Xenocracy, think it also came out on the PC.
Yes it did. Still haven't played it 😀 .
Found another one for the PS1 Blast Radius.
for ps2 try"star tek conquest" and "star trek encounter"
cheers Sasapinjic added them both in along with Star trek Legacy and Starfox Assault not come across conquest before.
🙁 No PS3 titles
Does Dust 514 count and there was a game I haven't played its a RPG called Star Ocean. Maybe someday I will see a space game title on the PS3 and soon to be PS4.
if you want to try you can download from here
The original Playstation did also have "Descent" and "Descent 2". Granted, they weren't actually "in" space (with the story being based around asteroid mining or something similar). I have them both, but found that the playstation controls left much to be desired. I believe they were also on PC.
Starfox Adventures on the Gamecube - while being largely an on-foot affair, did have some on-rails shooting sections similar to the first Starfox / Starwing game - specifically when you wanted to move the ship to different locations.
I have Descent 2 on the PS1 and would agree that the control make the game pretty unplayable .
Think it was a Mac game originally .
Being meaning to pick up a copy of Starfox Adventures for a while now.
I've got Descent on the Amiga!
Think it was a Mac game originally .
It was , a dos game at first. And its a trilogy. (Descent 1, 2 & 3). And since the code was released, as open source, it was ported to many systems. (It's on GoG, and there is a D3D exe, called Descent XL ( http://www.descent2.de/d2x.html ).
I've got Descent on the Amiga!
Is it 68K or PPC?
Never knew Descent came out on the Amiga.
One thing I've noticed on the cases for the playstation versions Descent and Descent 2 is that they both support analogue joysticks - I've not tried them on the Dualshock admittedly. The games do, however predate the dualshock itself.
In truth I only purchased the games personally as they're among the few games that supported link play.
Found a couple on the Gameboy Advance
Flight of the Falcon which is a bit rubbish and amazingly Wing Commander Prophecy.
Added Xbox1 and PS3/PS4 to the list alone with a couple of games which are or should be coming out on the platforms.
Still lacks of Stellar Assault/Shadow Squadron and its sequel on Saturn
Macross Plus on PS-X is more a one on one 3D fighting than proper space sim, even the 2 Macross VF-X games are more spacesimmy.
Wasn't Strike Suit Zero Director's Cut available for PS4 and Xbox One though?

Nice one MV2000 not heard of Stellar assault before, not sure about the Macross games they seem to be more giant robot/ jet fighter?.
Your right Strike Suit Zero Director's Cut is on both PS4 and Xbox One.
Forgot all about the Saturn was there anything on it?.
they seem to be more giant robot/ jet fighter?.
The more recent games, yes but I think the VF-X series still plays quite similarly to Ace Combat with transforming robots (the second at least, the first one's quite crap).

Macross Plus (yes, the fighter battles are pretty much one on one duel, QTE heavy too) : http://ns348841.ip-91-121-109.eu/psxdata/games/J/M/SLPS-02791.html
gameplay vid of Stellar Assault SS:
Forgot all about the Saturn was there anything on it?.
Mostly ports of PSX/PC titles, and shoot 'em ups (too many, even).
Darklight Conflict (same as PS1)
Titan Wars (same as PS1)
Galaxy Force II - Sega Ages (port of arcade version, also on Genesis I think and PS2)
Shockwave Assault (on PSX & PC too)
Star Fighter (port of Star Fighter 3000, with the exact same shitty fog issue as in PSX/DOS version)
G-Vector (something similar to Star Fox)
Other consoles:
Defender (PS2/GC/Xbox)
Novastorm console ports (PSX, 3DO, Sega CD)
Omega Boost (PSX)
Aubird Force series (PSX, capship-heavy TBS, Japan only) : Aubird Force and Aubird Force After
Space Debris (PSX)
Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounter in Space (yes it's Gundam but all actions are set in space, with some on-rails sections. Like Zone of the Enders with Gundams, so did many people said)
R-Type Command/Tactics series (PSP) - Totally not a shoot 'em up entry of the franchise. Hex-based TBS similar to Advance Wars
Starfox Command (NDS)
Zeitgeist/Jupiter Strike (PSX)
Space Griffon VF-9 (PSX, DC)
Star Luster (NES)
Galaxian3 (PSX, on-rails shooter not unlike Starblade)
Starblade Alpha (PSX, remastered Starblade)
Starborders (PSX) : http://ns348841.ip-91-121-109.eu/psxdata/games/J/S/SLPS-00958.html
Starcon (PSX,unreleased, supposed to be a spin-off to the Star Control series!) : http://ns348841.ip-91-121-109.eu/psxdata/games/U/S/SLUS-0XXXX.html
Super Robot Shooting (Space Harrier clone with characters from various well-known super robot franchises) : http://ns348841.ip-91-121-109.eu/psxdata/games/J/S/SLPS-00554.html
Good list MV2000 added the Saturn and the games , always thought the Saturn was 2D machine never realized it had 3D games on it.
Added some of the game from the other list but I would say that a few of them are more 3D shoot em ups, you can always start a separate thread about them if you want too.
Not sure where Defender fits in this list but it looks awesomely bad.
I must get a copy
Bah! There is only one Defender remake worth playing these days and it is this!
