To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hey everyone I've been wondering, if Void of Darkness were on kickstart as opposed to Indiegogo would you back it?
Or it doesn't make a difference which plat form it is on, if you are interested in a project, you would back it?
I can tell you from personal experience I'm far more likely to support a project on Kickstarter than Indiegogo. Besides being a far more streamlined experience (at least imho ;)), there is a little issue about the way they handle credit card payment. My experience was that they credit the amount as soon as you pledge, which is fair enough if the project succeeds. But if the project does not reach the funding goals, indiegogo reimburses the payment. All would be good and dandy if in both transactions my cc/bank didn't charge for aditional fees (in this case, payment in USD and my bank account being in Euros).
Same as Pyros much more likely to support Kickstarter projects than Indiiegogo ones because of the way they handle payments.
Indiegogo supports payment through paypal using debit card as well, even if you don't have a paypal account, does your bank charge even if you use your debit card and get refunded?
Your game will be the first time I have used Indiegogo, I 've not used it before because of the negative comment about the payment method used on it. so I am about to find out what they get upto.
Well I am using the fixed. So if not successful it refunds. If you plan to contribute (if that's what I think you're saying) then when you go to the paypal page you can use a debit or credit card. And you don't have to log into paypal. As in you don't need a paypal account.
I am not certain unless someone confirms, but I don't think credit card fees apply to debit cards.
Nice one Justin, did not know that you could use Paypal. :good:
Game backed.
Ah cool, hopefully your breezy experience can convince others. I am inclined to doubt that if you use paypal directly, that a refund would incur a charge.
However, if anyone is interested in backing and that holds them back...just enquire of your bank 🙂
Thanks a lot PIN.
