Thanks celticfang, I don't actually have a particular ship yet that I'm looking at 😛 , but if I find one later could you still do it? And... medium turrets cannot be equipped to Frigates, can they... 🙂

Err....I think they can, I know I mounted heavy or large turrets on the starter frigate and had zero energy left...

Oh ok then- somehow I forgot that the starting ship only has two turret slots... 😆 I just found Akio, by paying off the debt as well, expect something odd happened. I selected to pay off the debt, but somehow he got destroyed anyway- there was about twelve ships in the damn asteroid belt, so my device was massively lagging. Seriously though, Akio has this awesome habit of destroying a pirate ship before I even get close to them... 😀

Tyr with 8 light turrets...good luck to any pirate coming up against that.

If I got more than one pirate....is it possible to have two turrets attacking one ship, two attacking anither, two attacking another and so on or only have all 8 firing at one ship?

I mean, 8 turrets on one pirate....goodbye pirate, but I'm thinking two on four ships may improve my survival odds with Grace's mission.

Free hint here, Tyr I've found shreds the pirates you find in high/core systems. Along with Akio, yeah they go down quickly.

I'm avoiding the death triangle missions for now

Haven’t had a chance to play the game this week, I was also trying to do the Grace mission.

Has anyone survived it yet. ❓

Remember what Grace tells you and your wingmen to do when she's talking to her brother. If you're not in a battleship class ship, you would do well to heed her advice. And make sure your wingman obeys, too. The webber will prevent a ship from docking.

I got down to the last ship then got wiped out by a missile, I'm not sure I want to go to low or null sec with a Tyr, I mean, it's better than an agon, but....

Much raging was had,

Think I need a better ship. 😀

Having returned to the game after a few days away, I definitely think the map needs an indicator to show where the player is.

Also just noticed that you can’t access the local map when in space. 😕

It would also be useful to be able to access the map from the warp menu

@ swiftest can you tell us what the symbols on the local map mean. ❓

2 Possible bugs any one else seen this. ❓

1 I completed the loyalty for the dust jumpers although my standing only says .99 and I have been told to return to their HQ where DST Kate just says “I don’t have anything”. I am ment to do some thing else here. ❓

Also does anyone know how you get the scan probe or is this tied up with the above. ❓

2 Akio has disappeared, I don’t know if he get himself killed or lost some where. ❓

He can still be activated/deactivated and talked to in the quarters.

The Grace mission is meant to be doable without super high level gear, but it's very tough with a frigate, and difficult with a destroyer unless you make it a nice tank. Grace is a great remote shield recharger, so if you can survive the alpha strike (the initial volley of damage) from the pirates, you can easily beat the mission. So if you can get past the first four pirates, you can just let the prince dock. But if you can take down the prince, his ship has some elite modules that might survive.

The latest version shows you which system you're in when looking at the galaxy map. It's also shown at the top when you're docked now. Will have to see about adding the local map to space. 🙂 You can get to the galaxy map from the (M) button while in space. I'd like to make the maps be usable for visual navigation down the road. And I'll have to create a map key either offline, in the game, or add the type next to each name.

OK, when you did their loyalty mission and got to 0.5 standings with DST, they gave you the Scan Probe skill. (We should probably make this clearer.) Just go to your skills area while in the station's quarters and add a point of skill to it. Then you'll see the extra button when viewing the local map.

edit: It's a bug that it's telling you to go visit the HQ at 0.99 standing. We left room in the code to add second loyalty missions for corporations, so that bit about returning to the HQ shouldn't be in there yet.

It's possible he got killed. Luckily, all wingmen have clones made, so you can just reactivate him at any station. 🙂

One thing I noticed about Akio is that I had to deactivate him then leave the station, then redock and activate Akio before he would reappear again.

Also I forgot to mention that it would be nice if the location of the factions HQ would stay on the list after you gain some standing with them.

In that case, that might be a bug. Maybe he got lost somewhere? Let me know if you can duplicate it. 😳

Excellent work Swiftest just downloaded the updated game. 😀

Been a bit busy the last couple of weeks and have not had a chance to play the game. Did manage to get the scan probe and found the dreadnought, but how do you use it or is it just like a station which can be docked with. ❓

Wanted to know if there was any way of adding my own sound effects to the game. ❓

Those scanned Leviathans don't do anything yet, they have a role if we're able to complete the story arc with a trilogy of games. SOL and others believe they are the death bringers awaiting activation, and finding them in each system seems to confirm this. The last storyline mission does include a Leviathan...

I'm not sure how hard the game is to mod. Presumably, if you could find the audio files in the distribution, you could manually replace each of them with your own sound file. (Let me know if you're successful. 🙂 We would like to make the game very much modifiable.

Any truth to the rumor that there's a derelict battleship laying around in space...? I've got a destroyer, but I took the explorer path at the start, I've grabbed another agon through salvage

I believe there is at least one derelict battleship, but it is in null-security. 😮

By the way, I should mention that you can now pay off factions where you have a bad standing. Just visit their HQ and talk to their lead. It's not cheap, but manageable I think.

Good point. The nano warp should help you dock faster as long as you don't get warp jammed (prevents nano warp) or webbed (prevents docking). 😮

Pinback has been working on a review of Dangerous but it is taking him some time 🙂

Maybe he can load up v1.07 for the review? Like the list of fixes, there is a few nice mentions there.

Just downloaded the new version of Dangerous today and seem to be having a problem with the graphics, it effects all the station and jumpgates and also show up on the ships.

Something to with the shaders. ❓
