To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Reading over the crowdfunding page are really trying to make something special, doesn't seem to be a remake but more of a re-imagine of R-Type games.... I see in some of the stretch goals they will remake original R-Type game levels from all of the different R-Type games. Will be interesting to see how this comes out in the end and congrats on them for supporting all platforms 🙂

Haha I am getting to that point too sometimes Geraldine... my son makes fun of me when I express frustration in a game where I am like stuck or cannot beat a boss and then he beats it first try 😩 I think I am getting old.... I need cybernetics please come out soon I have so many steam games to play yet 🙂

There are loads of Defender clones out there. It's even more iconic than R-Type. Oblivion, on the Amiga, was always my favorite as it was really close to the proper Arcade version and fast as hell to play too. These days I'd be lucky to get past wave 1. 🤣Â
