To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

In a somewhat expected development, it looks like Bugbyte (love the name), is trying to take the FTL concept to the next level.
Space Haven is in early access now, available both at steam and GOG. While the developer is claiming to be inspired by Rimworld and dwarf fortress, one cannot easily ignore the FTL influences as well.
I actually looked into this as I was deciding what my next purchase spree would involve, ultimately I decided to wait for multiple reasons as I think this game needs to stay in early access for a while before all the balance issues are finalised. As in all things, we need a good compromise between complexity and fun, I'm not sure that this has been achieved yet.
Still my fellow enthusiasts, I think many of you will find this interesting so I am including a link to their site where you can take a closer look. I may even post a preview on this at some point, but for right now I'm just going to observe it a while longer

Sorry I didn't search first... can we merge this to that thread? The EA reviews seem positive by the way and it looks like a lot of the basics are in.
