To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

New update.
Only 4 days left and still under the half way make, just spotted that you can download the prototype http://www.voiddestroyer.com/VD2Prototype.html
great vid. 😎 😎
I agree and keeping my fingers crossed for you Paul. The game totally deserves to meet it's funding goal and I hope it does.
Four and half grand in the next 54 hours not impossible to do just needs a push.
Alas it's commiserations, but it was a good shot at it and hopefully we will see the game on Steams early access at some point.
Sad about this :girlsad: But I do hope Paul will continue with development as his game looked great!
Good news it will continue.
Hey guys...
Success isn't a straight line. If I didn't try - then I would have have regretted it.
First the basics - for those unfamiliar with what happens when a Kickstarter doesn't reach its funding goal - no funds are taken from you and I'm under no obligation to delivery the rewards.
Most importantly - the project will continue. Not reaching the goal means that I will be more stressed financially, but I will continue to self fund the project. It might mean that I will slow down in terms of spending, but because most of the work is on my side, that aspect shouldn't be impacted.
Gratefully - I'm sincerely honored by your pledges. All I have - now - are your words of encouragement. That support is incredible - I loved hearing from you, how you were looking forward to part 2, and how you enjoyed part 1. Even during writing this I've gotten several - "what's next?" and "keep it up" messages. Don't be strangers.
Some of you suggested going the PayPal route - to address this - Kickstarter has a great open/public platform. Its great to be able to refer to it - in cases of dispute its all written and public. So for this reason I don't want to go the PayPal route.
Some of you suggested a IndieGoGo flexible funding campaign - where if the goal isn't met, whatever the pledged funds still get transferred. In the last few days - I thought that if I did a $1 Kickstarter campaign (which is basically the same thing as flexible funding) I'd be happy with $6k. But at the same time - I feel a sense of relief that this campaign is finally over. The stress of the likelihood of not reaching the goal is a great thing to finally have off my shoulders. Being able to move on is a good feeling. The other issue with another KS campaign - is that there is a cost to promises on my side and having a minimum level to meet those promises/obligations is a good deal for both parties (myself included). But what do you guys think? It costs me nothing to start up another campaign with a $1 goal - and if I were to do this, I'd have it run for a week or less - too stressful otherwise.
So what's next - I'll continue working towards a Steam Early Access release. And when that's close - I'll need a good core group of testers... so if nothing else changes I think the best place to look would be here, with you guys.
Its not a bad thing to get a dose of humility - once in a while. And its not a bad thing to test my "eternal optimist" stance. I hope that if anyone feels sad about this Kickstarter - that you picture me in my robe making myself crapes for breakfast (which I perfected - if I do say so myself) then walking down a few stairs to begin my day - I'm lucky.
Paul
PS: Don't be strangers 🙂

Thanks for getting here before me 🙂
Game is coming up nicely I see 😉
New dev update video.
Another dev video.
New dev video.
dev video out.
Look like void destroyer 2 has been getting plenty of updates https://store.steampowered.com/news/?appids=369530
I will admit that VD2 certainly fell off my radar because it has been in early access roughly 2yrs. It does look great compared to 2016 version I remember. Early access can build a following, but it can also be harmful for the game as well. I think early access should be restricted to a game that has less than a year of development left.
But I hope Chaosavy stays at it and gets this game to a complete state and I will look at Void Destroyer again.
Game still being actively work on and I just had a quick play around with and it looking good. 😎Â
Should be a new video soon about the latest updates but in the meantime here the vid from a couple of months ago.
And the next one is up, must find some time to have a play around with this, as I said I like what I seen of so far.
