To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I usually ask select members if they would like to be moderators, I usually handle all the site related stuff and questions for the most part and 'Pinback' the moderator handles most of the day-to-day parsing of threads/topics. Since I just don't have the time to read all the areas. Here is my take on Moderators, they should let the members chat, only time a moderator should ever step in on SSC is for breaking the rules, posting wrong areas or when asked. I have been on many boards where moderators get a complex and actually ruin communities and people stop posting, I take a lot of pride in the community in that people here can really express themselves about any topic or game and not worry about site or moderator agendas. Forum communities thrive on conversation and when moderators disrupt the flow too much it lessens the experience for the user.

SystemNetwork, just keep posting and become a rock solid member of the community and you will get asked if you have a interest.
