To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hello all,
I am Maximus and I'm SG2 dev. I frequent official forums but I will also drop here every now and then so feel free to ask me questions about the game.
I hope you already like our product and will continue to enjoy it!
If any admin/mod wants confirmation you can PM me on the official starpoint gemini 2 forums: http://www.starpointgemini.com/forum/member.php?action=profile&uid=2913
Hello Maximus.
I just got the game a couple of weeks ago, had to wait for the disk version and I am really enjoying the game :gamer: excellent job by all of LGM 😎
Couple of question for you about the game.
The radar can we have a dot in middle to help with the orientation of the ship, I have already posted this on your own forum http://www.starpointgemini.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2765
And the Riftways is their a way to drop out of them once you enter them as so far every time I have used them they take me right to the end.
And any thoughts on what may be causing my Graphical glitches although they seem to be getting less with the more time I spend playing the game.
First, thank you for playing our game!
I'll ask other devs what they think of dot on radar. Personally I had no issues but I understand It could be better and quicker for orientation.
Riftways - I suggest upgrading to latest version of the game, the grip is a bit weaker compared to when we first introduced them. Quickest way to exit is to use PTE mode with full energy management to engines strafe up or down with mouse and also press according movement key on keyboard(w or s). This should make you exit from any point of the riftway(bigger ships might need some upgrades as they are more massive and have a bit harder job at exiting).
That is one solution, the other is to simply look where riftway curves and just move to the other side with mouse.
Graphical glitches might be caused by various issues. Actual "glitches" usally appear on windows 8 with unappropriate drivers. Upgrading to 8.1 and latest drivers fixes "glitches". But I see you are on windows 7 which confuses me. Are you up to date with latest win7 drivers? And do you have win7 sp1?
Graphical crashes and memory outruns happen because intel HD graphics take control instead of dedicated GPU. fix: http://steamcommunity.com/app/236150/discussions/0/613936039513763831/

Steam updated the game to 1.06 just after I installed it and I discovered that you could leave the Rirtways last night but it's a bit fiddly to do, you might want to look at adding a keyboard command for doing that in a future update.
As for the Glitches I am running windows 7 sp1 64 bit version and ATI graphic card, processor ect could be the graphic card drivers as they have not been update for a while.
My only big gripe with SPG2 is it needs more descriptions for equipment and enhancements that you can add to your ship, especially a comparison tool when you have something selected to buy it should show you how it compares to what you have mounted.
How is SPG2 selling for LGM, is it meeting their expectations?
We are doing pretty good, thanks for asking!
But I can't officially discuss numbers 😉
