The game is on Steams Greenlight http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=764361838 no idea if it's legit or some one just messing around.
White gold is also on http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=764359394
Be nice to see them both on Steam but I guess we will have to wait and see if it real.
You are the only person I know who has played Precursors Pinback and I must say it looks damn good, White Gold too for that matter. I hope both get the success on Steam they deserve. You can see the sheer amount of effort their devs put into them and that effort deserves recognition and reward. Hope they turn up on GOG too.
I have extensively played this game too, and I'm happy to see that it will be sold again, I think this is good news for DarkOne who wanted to buy it time ago. I have not seen it on GoG or Gamersgate for the past years.
I know that the Patching of the game is a difficult one to run it decently, so there is a lot of preparation work for any gaming site to make this game run quite after installation.
The game has also some great modding possibilities, I had not the time to go through it, but I have the links to all the SDKs necessary to build missions etc.
I have written a small walkthrough that must still be in the download section for anyone interested. Yes, it's here:

In the Steam video (the first) I see a flyer stucked in the air, telling me this is the non-russian version of the game with more game features that the vanilla game. I have my personal similar modified version allowing me to fly everywhere with any flyers, copters, vehicles etc. That version has corrected some bugs but it's still unstable, it's the best version I know about, but anyhow: If they release what I already have, then people will get disappointed I think... The Precursors is a wonderful but somewhat unfinished game.

I don't think this is legit and I expect Valve will probably remove it in a few days.
