 a zero point reactor, is that from the same technology that was used to create zero point modules(from the stargate series)but yes i agree some sort of guidelines would be helpful

updated it a bit with some navlight nodes, tweaked the texture and cleaned up the collision mesh [url]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/98265626/hoop_spacestation.7z[/url] and its all named and ready to replace the hoop station for those that want it now

i dont know about blender but in max one way to do this is by mapping one object and then cloning that object and placing it on the rest of the model as many times as needed. because they are all cloned objects they share the same uv co-ords.hope this helps a bit.

You do want separate meshes if they've got different shininess or transparency though right? some of the 'shininess' can be controlled by a specular map and you want to have any parts of the model that use transparency to have there own mesh, material and texture
