RE: staring at the moon from our marble.
<t>Have to say am constantly blow away with Shadmar's work.. I agree the moon should look like a moon as apposed to a non discrete dot in the sky.. Yes a picture off a moon on a ~35mm type lens will always look like a dot.... The universe should be fun , not dull , even if a degree of artistic ...

RE: Peoples thoughts on STARDREAMER
increased fuel comsumption or extra damage inflicted would not make sense for those that use the stardreamer while stationary anyway. So long as your engine is off and you don't park on any train tracks

RE: staring at the moon from our marble.
<t> One method that might be employed to give a more natural perspective of the moon would be if FOV was dynamic in some way.So that if you were on the surfaces of worlds the FOV would be less than say if you were in orbit or enroute to another planet or system.Of course the devil is always in the ...

RE: Peoples thoughts on STARDREAMER
<t>I didn't say that. I said, "Those features could be added."Feel free to add them. Scripting in Lua is not difficult. Guess I misunderstood you had already added some lua script that added damage to drives over time. One aspect, any damage 'roll of dice' probably should take into account in such a ...

RE: Peoples thoughts on STARDREAMER
No slight at ALL to the Stardreamer - and I too would like to have a few speed-up features added. I'm glad there's some scripting to increase the chance of damage over time - that's the main thing.

RE: staring at the moon from our marble.
@Vuzz You can make a mod with closer moon or change you FOV setting in config and the moon will look bigger. Now if there could be some atmospheric lensing effect that could give the illusion of a closer moon that would be cool.

RE: staring at the moon from our marble.
I can see no reason why there should not be many such moon and planet proximities in Pioneer - astonishing images Shadmar, should be very inspiring to custom system builders :mole:

RE: Peoples thoughts on STARDREAMER
<t>If you can get better fuel efficiency in manual piloting traveling on fumes to reach a landing pad that would using autopilot or stardreamer cause you to run empty just slightly before reaching such a destination. Then there is nothing to add.Imagining a ship's hull would be subjected to a lot ...

RE: Peoples thoughts on STARDREAMER
<t>Why would we want to punish the player for not wanting boredom? Not about boredom It's about tactical. Why wouldn't I just slam into every planet using the stardreamer and autopilot, In fact why bother having ANY realtime piloting? My point is if you happen to be low on fuel you would essentially ...

RE: Peoples thoughts on STARDREAMER
I do like the idea about fuel cost increasing by using the higher stardreamer settings. Interesting idea for a difficulty setting in game?It would definately slow down the gameplay if a pilot opted to be fuel conscious.

<t>This works for Alpha 30 and related mods.If you have a few mods you like to keep in but they appear to disable the decals mod.Check (unzip) any mod you want to use, and look in the archive for a decals folder lmrmodels0_sub_modelsdecals.Then delete the decal.lua file if there and re-zip the mod ...

RE: Pioneer Mods on SSC
<r>I made some links to the wiki page. If they get used or not is another matter. Whether there is a wiki solution in the offing or not - I think it may be better to split the mods into categories because this one category all together is waaaay too big, IMO. If you split it up to 4 smaller ...

RE: Pioneer Mods on SSC
Robn I agree it would be good to have it all in one place. Everyone is so visually oriented that pictures beside mods are always nice. I suppose the wiki could be better configured to do that?In the mean time - also for exposure SSC maybe a good choice as a second file/mod host
