RE: Steam Release
<r>Thanks Geraldine - it took a long time, but it is nice to finally be there. <E>:)</E> Heya Pinback - for sure, there's so much opportunity to expand on Salvation Prophecy. Actually space sims in general are great for that - not even the sky is the limit, but the stars! I think I'll need to let ...

RE: Greenlit (finally!)
Cool, making a bit of noise on the GOG forums, plus landing steam greenlight might just make the difference. Thanks, you guys are awesome.

RE: Greenlit (finally!)
<r>Nice, 3 of my fav SSCers dropped by to say congrats! Thanks guys. DarkOne - I haven't been adding any new features to Salvation Prophecy since the initial launch - just fixing the rare bug or hardware/joystick incompatibility. That's not because I didn't want to, but more because I had to pick up ...

Greenlit (finally!)
<r>Hiya Space Sim Centrallers, I'm just dropping by to say that Salvation Prophecy finally got greenlit for release on Steam. I am very happy about this. <E>:)</E> I wanted to thank everyone around here who voted for the game on greenlight. When Salvation Prophecy got greenlit, it had over 42,000 ...

RE: Salvation Prophecy 75% off on Gamersgate
<t>Hey DarkOne - thanks for giving the head's up on the gamersgate sale! One of the great things about sales is that you bring in a lot of folks who might not otherwise have tried the game. I suppose making the money off a full-price sale is nice, but knowing the game is out there getting played by ...

RE: Linux Release
Yeah multiplayer / coop would be a ton of fun. It's a big feature though. Maybe it is something I could tackle if I make another space game with a bigger team and budget. Thanks for your thoughts!

RE: Linux Release
<t>So that means €165,- total or about 200 dollars for a fully capable gaming rig. Besides, the case is eco-friendly since it is easy to recycle! Impressive. :hi: Glad to see your still working on Salvation Prophecy and pushing it to a new platform. I hope that the sales have done well enough to ...

RE: Linux Release
<r>Kinda the feeling I got also sometimes in Salvation Prophecy in some battles <E>;)</E> Haha! Yeah, a Geforce 610M isn't going to cut it. Even if you could get Salvation Prophecy to run, it wouldn't be any fun. In a shooter you need a decent framerate to aim properly. I checked out the video ...

<t>Hey Star Apoc, Hmm, a notebook - what kind of video card does it have? Even though Salvation Prophecy has pretty low graphics requirements, playing on a notebook might be a little optimistic. Haha, btw - love your sig quote:"Sir! We're completely surrounded!" "Excellent! We may now attack in ...

Hey Geraldine, nice to see you again. I really appreciate any help spreading the word. Indie games with 0 marketing dollars rely heavily on the kindness of others.

Linux Release
<t>Greetings Space Sim Centrallers, I just thought I'd pop in and announce the linux port of Salvation Prophecy. It's available on Desura. I did the linux port myself, which will make it easier to provide support and updates to the game as needed. (A lot of indie devs hire out the port.) Carry on ...

RE: New gameplay video
<t>Thanks DarkOne.The financial fate of Salvation Prophecy still very much rests in getting through onto Steam. I'm still fighting my way through the greenlight process - and as the top games are greenlit I'm slowly sliding towards the front of the list. I also need to try and keep up some publicity ...

RE: Void Destroyer - Indie 3D space sim
<t>The live space scenes are looking really good. Models are cool. Background is cool. Explosions and weapon-fire are cool. From a presentation standpoint, I think the lowest hanging fruit is sound, and custom UI artwork. There's a lot of fairly cheap stock sounds out there you could probably work ...

RE: Steam greenlight - please vote!
<t>I changed the video on the Steam greenlight page - it's just pure gameplay video now. I was worried that with the old video, people might not be patient enough to sit through the bit of narration at the beginning to see the gameplay. They recently changed greenlight so that the video autoplays ...

Done, noticed that there are few other space games on the list as well.
For sure. One guy put together a list of spacey games on greenlight, in case you want to check them out:http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=93012592
