Yeah, there isn't much you can't do with the free version of unity.

<t>lol - You and I both... I read about it this morning and was thinking the same thing. "Why does this stuff always have to be 10 years away." Atleast there are two of these being researched. The Tokamak and this.... If anyone is bored and interested in this stuff - this is a good read: http://www ...

RE: So what is your thoughts so far on Elite: Dangerous
<t>That's a little misleading - an offline character cannot switch to online mode. An online solo character can switch between online modes, yes! You say 'zero risk' too - that ain't necessarily so, amigo! This is not a PvP-oriented game anyway - PvP is only one facet of it! The only difference in ...

RE: So what is your thoughts so far on Elite: Dangerous
<t>I've played a pretty good amount of E:D. My biggest issue with the game is that it's too much of a arcade game than anything more serious. With their touted 400 billion systems and saying it's a MMO on their sales site are utterly miss-leading. With every area of the game being instanced, it was ...

<t>then fly a bit further away -.-I have the game, just tested it for you for the case you say the truth, I just get a weird new floating animation...Hmm, I wonder if mine may have a bug or something then. To ZombLee - I haven't thought of having a virtual mining company yet. But, If you're looking ...

RE: So... Space Engineers The Game
<t>maybe you should not be near a Gravitation Field Generator if you want to float in space. You also can (important for Surival) shutoff the flyByWire system to keep your speed to safe fuel after accelerating and activate it again to deccelerate. I was not near a gravity field generator.... If you ...

So... Space Engineers The Game
<t>Yes, I bought it, downloaded it and played it for like 2 hours last night. It's available on Steam for 20 bucks. The graphics are not horrible, and actually look pretty good. It has crumple physics, so when you wreck into things they will crumple up or get destroyed. The Gravity needs some work ...

RE: "ISBoxer is destroying EVE"
<t>This is a fine example that Eve Online is pay to win. Applications like this are forbidden in their own EULA, but they choose not to police these programs. They mean - "since you're paying for 20 accounts, sure you can cheat and use ISBoxer." CCP are total douche-bags. They don't realize that ...

RE: Audible scifi suggestions ?
<t>I love audible. Like sscadmin, I listen to them on the drive to and from work. If you haven't read Enders Game, or the books following it - Enders Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon...etc. I highly recommend those books if you like sci-fi. For space exploration, go for the Star Force series by B.V ...

<t>I also quit Eve Online for many of the same reasons that Dorean4 listed. And to FStyle, you represent the the crowd that people are trying to get away from in Eve... Your reply, breaking down his post and trying to argue the legitimacy of every statement is just sad. You fail to see the over all ...

Ex Eve Online player, turned developer and huge sci-fi space game fan
<t>So, I've been lurching these forums for a few weeks now reading and really enjoying the maturity of this community. So, finally I've decided to officially join! I'm your normal IT person. I work for a giant chemical company as a systems administrator five days a week 8-5 M-F. On my off time I've ...
