I hear Blender is quite good for video editing too

Has the added benefit that you'll slowly get used to it and then maybe start doing other things with it too, like models and games.

I tried installing it about a year ago on Windows 10 and it didn't work, even using various .exe files. But I also tried installing it a couple of weeks ago and this time it worked flawlessly without me modifying anything .... don't know why.
