I would like if they do a new Spaceforce space sim not a strategy game. Spaceforce 2 Rouge Universe had some potential and was fun for a time. With the right fine tuning and a better support, this game can become really nice.

Wing Commander 4 had no cockpit, just a simple hud like Freespace 1 & 2.Hardwar can be added to the list, all moths had different cockpits.

You may also try Pioneer. As far as i know you will not encounter any combat in the actual build of the game if you don't want to. Orbiter is also a non-combat, non-trade game but learning to fly the spacecrafts can take some time.

Great news. No further infos on their site but one of the random hompage artworks shows an astoroid belt and they were involved in the devolopment of Tachyon. So i'am looking forward for 2012 :)
