RE: Why no 3000AD games?
B.T.W., Shingen... that name rings a bell from the BC forums. If I remember correctly, there was an interesting love/hate relation ship between you and Smart

RE: Why no 3000AD games?
<r>Oh great, now Derek Smart will come here. Popcorn time! I bought Universal Combat when it was first released because I really liked the original Battlecruiser 3000 (final edition, patched to v2.something). I liked BC a lot better than UC even though both games are essentially the same. I.m.o. BC ...

RE: Dual Universe...
A new video was released just 2 days ago. I'm getting more and more excited about this project. I do hope they'll put some distance between planets and moons though.

RE: Bummed with Elite Dangerous What else is there?
<t>If you don't mind an even bigger graphical downgrade try Shores of Hazeron. It may not be what you're looking for since it's not purely a space sim and it can take a while to get into some action. It's more a do-it-all free roaming 1st person Empire building/trading/exploration/fighting sim with ...

<t>I'll send an extra cake for her! As long as I can play a SOH clone with graphics like these. But seriously, you should make a game out of this. It's so sad to see so many of these nice 3D planet projects going to waste. Nobody ever makes a game with procedural planets, they just make a 3D planet ...

<r>Absolutely awesome! Please consider giving up your social life and make this into a Shores of Hazeron clone and I would be eternally grateful <E>;)</E> Heck, I'll even send you a cake and flowers if you pull it off! However, a game like Pioneer would also be much appreciated. Your planetary ...

RE: Infinity Battlescape kickstarter has begun
<t>Definitely a very interesting game. I've been following the Infinity Quest for Earth project from the beginning and have been a long time fan but I'm sorry to say that if they don't promise to add an entire galaxy instead of just a single solar system I'm going to pass on this one. I don't blame ...

RE: Galaxy4D : New Multiplayer Space Sim
<t>Looks very good, I will keep a close eye on this. What you guys describe is what I've always wanted. It's just sad to see so many good looking projects never making it into something playable. I hope Galaxy4D will finally succeed in bringing the world a seamless, procedural galaxy filled with ...

RE: Exospace Alpha version trailer
<t>Very interesting as I had hoped and even had expected. It all looks and feels very serious and "NASA like". This is what I like to see in space games: a serious non-cartoony look, immense scale & freedom to explore, planet surfaces, base building, resource management and space that actually looks ...

RE: New visual for Exospace
I'm following this project with great interest. So far it looks very exciting. It's about time somebody made a "serious looking" space colonization and exploration sim. Can't wait to play this game when it's finished, please keep up the good work!

LOL, I hope that's a good thing
Oh man, I was so excited to see Hazeron is coming back but now I read Haxus wants 10 dollars a month to play it and he will shrink the galaxy size. I'm afraid this means no Hazeron for me :-(10 dollars a month is way too much i.m.o.

RE: Gravity Well by the creator of Shores of Hazeron
<r>Yeah, I just read that! I'm so glad there's a big probability now that Shores of Hazeron will return! Though it seems many fans want the galaxysize to be shrunken to about 100 sectors, I think the big scale of the Original Hazeron should be kept in tact. It's what made it so relaxing an fun ...

Gravity Well by the creator of Shores of Hazeron
<t>It may sound dramatic but when Haxus pulled the plug on Shores of Hazeron I've been quite dazed and confused for a few weeks, if not months. The game was so intense and immense that it totally had me hooked. I've never been addicted to anything in my life but Shores of Hazeron came pretty close ...

RE: So what do you think after play Elite Dangerous for just over a month?
<t>IMO, planetary landings is the most important issue, so I will be glad if they prioritize it. It's the main reason I became a backer and it will make the game A LOT more interesting I think. Of course, I too hope the other "important core gameplay issues" won't suffer in the process. But man ...

RE: So what do you think after play Elite Dangerous for just over a month?
<t>I'm still waiting for the "seamless procedural planet" feature to make ED perfect. Right now, it's very nice (especially the controls, I've never flown a spacegame with better controls than ED) but the game gets boring after a while. I think exploring different planet surfaces will expand the ...
