RE: Chocolate flavoured galaxy
As always amazing work s2odan! I absolutely love the clouds on the gas giants, and those new terrain features look excellent! I've always found the planets and terrains to be one of Pioneer's most interesting features.

That's really awesome s2odan! The mountains and lowlands look incredibly realistic, I can't wait to see that in-game! Keep up the good work!

RE: Pioneer Universe- Post your favorite places
<t>This game has such incredible potential! I love the planetary simulation and terrain!I've said it in another thread and I'll say it again-- if you've never tried landing and speeding up time to watch the skyscape on a planet with multiple moons or on a moon itself, you have to give it a go!A very ...

RE: Planetary radius / diameter
<t>If you look in the view that shows the orbits in the system (the one that allows you to speed up time and watch how the planets orbit) and select a body, it will show you the radius in km. And actually, the radius of the planet doesn't necessarily correspond with the mass, I've found a number of ...

RE: A Suggestion (stargazing)
<t>A different camera mode is all it would really have to be. I wonder how difficult zoom would be to implement and if anything would have to be done with planet LODs when zooming. It would be so cool to be able to land on a planet and zoom in at objects in the sky and at distant landscapes. Here's a ...

A Suggestion (stargazing)
<t>I want to start by saying that I haven't contributed one iota to this project and understand that I'm not really in any place to make a suggestion but I just want to throw one out there. I have no idea what the feasibility or difficulty of adding a feature like this is, but it would be neat to ...

RE: Pioneer vs. ATI Graphics (image heavy)
As far as I can tell, the only graphical glitch I'm experiencing in Alpha 7 is being able to see the rings of gas giants through the planet itself (so I can see the full ring except where it breaks for the shadow). I'm using a Radeon X1950 Pro.

RE: Alpha 6 released
<t>Congratulations on the latest release! I loved alpha .5 and only had issues with the shaders(I have a Radeon X1950 Pro, 2GB of RAM and an AMD Sempron 3600+, ~2Ghz, running Windows XP 32bit), so I was itching to download this and check out the new planets types but unfortunately it won't run! It ...
