<r>Sorry for double post.I have been playing SoH for a few days now, and it really blew my mind <E>:P</E> The game includes almost anything you could ask from a space sim. In fact, it got more features already than the holy Infinity probably is going to have, should it ever be released. The ...

<t>While the idea of the game sounds promising, it crashed/froze several times before even letting me log onto the server.Actually, IF it works, it is a nice little game, and i haven't even built my first city yet. Listening to all the guys in glactic chat when the epidemics hit their colonies was ...

RE: Egosoft's TNBT = X: Rebirth ?
<t>Well, i am not a fanboy, but i play the hell out of X3:TC atm. The main problem i have with this game is the UI: it seems to be made to be the most complicated ui EVER. In any non-retarded (and even in most retarded) strategy games, i need only 2 clicks to order a unit from A to B. In X3:TC, i ...

RE: What's next from Egosoft?
I'll try to not be too disappointed until the 28th - if nothing promising comes from that presentation, the only remaining hope for the genre will be infinity... but at least i'm going to have enough time to play that, since i probably will be long retired when it finally is released. If ever.

RE: Notch (Minecraft) space game
Thanks for clearing that "cambridge lot" part up
Well, seems like that "online-Universe" thing is indeed old. Was curious about that anyway, since all Egosoft titles so far have been singleplayer only. Time will tell.

<r>who/what is "that lot in cambridge"? <E>:?:</E> Well, since someone noticed the description for the german egosoft "X-Universum" Forums now says "and Online-Universe" in addition to all the X-series titles, i may be wrong anyway with the singleplayer thing =/And singleplayer-wise, i really really ...

RE: Notch (Minecraft) space game
<t>Hey,although it may be a bit off topic, Egosoft recently announced that their next project (referred to as "The Next Big Thing") will be unveiled on April 28th. Regarding the history of the studio when it comes to their game releases (namely the X-Series), it probably is going to be another open ...

RE: Looking for a space sim with the ability to land on planets.
<t>You can download and pay for Evochron Mercenaries via the games website, Gamersgate or Impulse, to name a few. At least Gamersgate and Impulse also accept Paypal as a payment option, i don't know about the games site itself. Would probably make the most sense to buy it directly, since that ...

<t>I guess i am too spoilt by the games i used to play. I looked up Ad astra, and the site and screenshots made my eyes hurt tbh : (. After i tried to move on from my savegame in x3:tc for 2 hours, with nothing but frustration in the outcome (seriously, what retard game designer enables it for an M4 ...

<t>Yeah, it does not do Archimedean Dynasty (or "Schleichfahrt", as the german original title was) justice to be mentioned in the same sentence with Aquanox. Though hey play in the same universe, the "Schleichfahrt" title had a more sim-like approach to it... and also a bit more free-form gameplay ...

RE: Looking for a space sim with the ability to land on planets.
<t>Hey there, i am new to the forum as well :)I am currently looking for almost the same as the OP. I messed around with Evochron (when "Legends" was the most recent release) and liked it, but found the non IDS combat quite challenging (got no Joystick/gamepad that would run with my new Win7 64 ...
