RE: Announcement: Lua custom systems will be removed!
@mutos Cool. We have plans to make much more use of the official star catalouges for position, size and name of the stars. At present only stars that are bright (seen from Earth), and local stars are accurate, all others are procedurally generated on the fly.

RE: Announcement: Lua custom systems will be removed!
<t>@crux_72 Just merged into master branch the feature to change size of explored bubble. It's undocumented, but when you start pioneer it will generate a galaxy.ini file in your pioneer config home directory (where saves, screenshots, and config.ini lives). You can change min, max size of the ...

RE: Announcement: Lua custom systems will be removed!
<t>@crux_72 The reason we have the GUI systems editor is because we desperately need the players to contribute their own systems. Ideally, grab a system from bright stars-list or local stars-list in data/systems/ that is only defined by coordinates and catalogue name and flesh them out with a full ...

@crux_72 I started a branch a wile ago to fix it by exposing those parameters, however, I've not finished it completely.

Paying your fine to be below 300 credits should calm them down.
Murder usually carries a hefty fine of 1.5M credits.
Sounds a bit much. Perhaps this should be lowered.

also, in general, if stardreamer (time fast forward) is blocked due to physics simulation, you can force it with Ctrl + click, but do at own risk. There's a reason the game prevents it.

RE: Is Pioneer dead?
For future reference, you can always see the actual progress of the game development in the Changelog.txt
I believe it would be a hard task to find a month with zero activity. Every single month, some tweak, bugfix, feature, or asset is merged.

RE: 2024 July 10 Pioneer (half)day - New "rock solid" release!
There is a _slight_ issue, if you're loading a save from a previous version, make sure to not fly to a destination where there's an ongoing "News", as reported on the BBS. Or work around it, as described: https://github.com/pioneerspacesim/pioneer/pull/5862

Glad to hear it worked out.
Thanks for the kind words, it is what funds the further development of the project

RE: Scanning
Do you have a screenshot showing the Comms messages and the scanner box when your scanning?
RE: Scanning
Sounds strange. Double check you're on the right planet in the right sector (x,y,z coordinates), and that you're using an orbit scanner for orbit misison and surface scanner for surface mission. Those are the "obvious" things people can get wrong.

RE: Getting data from pioneer to use on another device
<t>@ousba1960 To moderate expectations, there's no build you can download with this feature. All you can get out of it is the sourcecode for it, which is many years stale, you need to know C/C++. If you want to work on this, I assume you're able to find the relevant post on the dev forum, as ...
