RE: Excel Wikipedia Data to Pioneer LUA code calculator
<t>Different platforms (windows, linux, OSX, etc.) can have slight differences in their floating point number systems. To work around that, numbers are stored as fractions. So Mars' radius(f(533,1000)) is 533/1000 or 0.533 and Jupiter's mass(f(3178,10)) is 3178/10 or 317.8.The units for radius and ...

RE: Issue tracker now available
The first is a known issue, #1062. Though it is interesting that it only started happening for you with alpha 23 dev builds. Are you using the builds from here?BTW, an actual version number is more useful than "latest drivers".

To find a system you first have to know what sector it is in. This why all the missions tell you both the name and sector of systems. Sol is in sector 0,0,0.Use the cursor keys to move the map to the sector the system is in, then you can use the search.

<t>A less breakable save format is something that has been discussed and will happen. You can already use the console to recreate such things as your ship, equipment, money, etc, but it is not very user friendly. If you'd like to give it shot here's the documentation for scripting. You must remember ...

RE: Nightly builds
<t>Really, you'll just have to start a new game. As bugs are fixed and things are added, the save file format sometimes has to change. There is a version number in save file so the game can at least give an error explaining that the save file is incompatible, but nobody realized it needed to be ...

At this point all you can is number them as part of the file name.Hopefully at some point the save/load dialogs will be improved to include such things as date, time, location, ship, money, etc.

Just to clarify, I meant that the scoop won't show on the spinning ship on the right side of the ship info view. It will be listed, as text, in your ship equipment. If it is listed but you can't see the scoop in the external camera, then please submit a bug report on GitHub.

<t>First the basics of cargo scooping:Your ship must have a cargo scoop fitted; there are currently only four ships that can: Adder, Eagle Mk-IV Bomber, Constrictor and Sidewinder. The item to be scooped must collide with the scoop surface. So, you'll have to look at the ship to see where that is.The ...

RE: git current code doesn't compile on windows (edit: resolved)
You don't need commit access to pioneerspacesim/pioneer to submit pull requests, which is a request to merge from your fork on GitHub. Assuming you're using git to pull the source, it's quite easy.

Go ahead and commit your changes and submit a pull request on GitHub. (Which also would have been a more appropriate place to ...
