Stretch goals for a lot of these things do look really quite ambitious.

Well, the 4Mio. $ are sure now. Maybe they reach 4.5Mio in the next 70 hours, maybe even more.I am quite impressed to be honest, I didn't expect it to run that great. Maybe 3.75Mio at most, if all went fine. I was so wrong! <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_biggrin.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />Hopefully most of you here will also play on the official server when it goes live. I wonder if they create several server locations because of latency issues.

And they are at $4.625 as of this writing <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Completely awesome campaign, and it's so awesome to see my dream of a game shared with so many others. I'll definitely see you on the Alpha and Beta servers, we should organize to get together.

I really wanted to give more, but I just don't have the cash, now if this KS would have lasted 30 more days... <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//sad.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

They are now at $5.7mil with 3 hours left in the official campaign. Even if we don't hit it right away, we will be at $6mil, and this will go down as the highest crowd funded game to date.

I think I might get the Freelancer edition, which is currently $110 on kickstarter right now. I think this is going to hit the 6mil mark easy in the next 2+ hours. It is so good to see this game taking off and so many people supporting it. Chris Roberts and Company now have to deliver this grand vision to their fans and I hope it is amazing. Just watching that AI video was great to see the combat and flight mechanics working, nevermind the great visuals, that Cry3Engine is amazing.

This video is even more impressive imo, detailing the transition from concept art to ingame.

I think that shows how starved: A:) quality space sims have been under represented for a long time B:) quality pc-first games have been sorely lacking as well.

6 MILLION <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//shok.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':O' /> <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//shok.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':O' /> That's amazing I looked at the site yesterday and it was about 4.8.I just got in.....and down it goes again.Just picked this out of there thank you message.

What about pledges? Good news: those of you who got in on the ground floor are covered. Your ships have lifetime insurance policies and for the next year you will have the ability to purchase further tiers or upgrade existing ones at the initial prices. That’s not true of everyone else: if you want to back Star Citizen and participate in this amazing community, you still can… but it’s going to cost you a little extra as of now, and you aren’t going to have as many extras (no lifetime insurance, for example.)
Looks like I will be able to get that manual after all.

Got an email confirming a grace period for upgrading pledges.
Quote:
<h2> Grace Period</h2>In the aftermath of some of the craziest 48 hours we’ve ever experienced it’s become clear that there’s a sizable number of people that were unable to pledge, or adjust their pledges due to the difficulties with the RSI site. Many people tried repeatedly over the weekend, only for the site to crash at various points during the check out. Some people switched to Kickstarter, but there were also a large number of people that Kickstarter wasn’t an option and so they have been left high and dry. The focus of our campaign was, from day one, involving the fans and trying to give them as many options to support us as possible. The last thing we want to do is punish any of you, and so we have decided to adapt our plans and offer a grace period for all current members of the RSI community. If you have a membership, regardless of whether you have previously purchased a tier, you will be able to pledge at the current prices through this weekend. We will keep the limited add-on ships available through that time for everyone who tried to purchase one but wasn’t able. Everything will switch to the new pricing structure on Monday November 26th
Better get that manual.

This doesn't override the other statement of upgrading your donations to get better rewards over the next year or so correct?Because I couldn't afford to drop the $250 needed to get the tier I wanted (they had to do this at Christmas time, don't they know I have five kids) but will do it next year for sure. I really want that Constellation ship and hey being a Rear Admiral isn't bad either.
