2D Space Exploration Game Engine
I'm working on a game engine for a 2d space exploration game that has gameplay on different scales. Here's a demo : This is my youtube channel : http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC16NNkpAkWA490E5YHGoU0g?feature=watch Thanks in advance for the feedback. Rogier

Hi RogierThanks for showing off this engine, kinda reminds me of SPAZ (Space Pirates and Zombies). I like how smooth the engine feels when your playing and I think it will handle the space combat well. My only concern is maybe the backgrounds, at times you felt confused as to which 'level' you seemed to be on and what you can interact with or destroy. Plus with too many things moving around on different planes could cause some confusion, but i'm sure you will be brushing up the back/foregrounds some more. But overall it is a nice engine visually and responded well to your tests. Cannot wait to see more.

Hey this is nice.Like the physical behaviours of somes objects/sprites. Is it homegrown or 3rd-part ?Good idea to manage multiple background levels, it provides good visual depth sensation

Thanks for the compliments. The game/physics engine is fully homegrown. A lot, maybe too much, time was spent making sure everything is smooth and accurate. The coordinate systems can all move and rotate to hopefully give you a real feel of space so sensations of motion sickness are probably good. It shall be put to good use in the game. The graphics will be updated when I've finished the design of the game, right now it basically shows tech. Rogier
