Turn-Based Sci-Fi Wargame SotS:GroundPounders on IndieGoGo!

Post by Vanish »

Heya =) This forum is so much into Sci-Fi, strategy and gaming in general that I wasn't sure which board to pick. Hope it's the right one!Just a heads up, there's a cool indie cross-platform tactical wargame going up on IGG for October: (Gameplay details begin at 2m58s of the video)From my understanding it will ship for PC and Android and the same time with cross-platform multiplayer and single-player campaigns, then Mac eventually. The game will push into Beta phase once the IGG campaign is finished, and an Alpha demo has been available for a while and updated recently:PC Alpha demo: http://www.gamershell.com/download_103525.shtml Alpha demo: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kerberos.gp if you're familiar with the Sword of the Star universe, but it's fairly authentic and rich as far as Sci-Fi lore and art goes, if you're into that kind of thing. Here's a few of my favorite pieces:Hiver Hero/Commander, Prince Glittering Dune:Humans sent to scour the aftermath of an urban battle: And finally some Tarkas, as confident and arrogant as ever:Unfortunately, the Tarka SP campaign and MP race had to be made a stretch goal for the time being. Since the IGG campaign is going smooth so far however, we're trying to bring them back by helping spread the word. So, hope to see you on IGG, and have fun

To be honest I would much prefer them to do Northstar.

To be honest I would much prefer them to do Northstar. You and me both =) It's by supporting genuine projects like these that we can help indie Kerberos get to those big games. Some new art/screenshots are out. This one is a painting of a Solforce Ground Forces Marine, with a tatoo of their motto: This is a screenshot of the SotSdex part about military doctrines and tactics. Hivers don't sound very "politically correct"
